The Nonnewaug girls beat Gilbert, 64-32, Thursday night to clinch the outright Berkshire League championship. The Chiefs will be the No. 1 seed in the BL tournament, which begins Saturday at Northwestern High.
Nonnewaug finished the regular season at 18-2.
