The seeds are set for the NVL girls basketball tournament.
St. Paul (18-0 NVL) is the top seed, followed by Holy Cross (17-1) at No. 2 and Sacred Heart (14-4) at No. 3.
What was yet to be decided before Tuesday was seeds 4-6. Seymour, Ansonia and Naugatuck will be the No. 4, 5 and 6 seeds after each won Tuesday night.
The Wildcats (14-4) had one more win than the Chargers (13-4) in NVL play, while the Greyhounds (13-5) finished league play with one more loss than the Chargers. Woodland (12-6) is the No. 7 seed and Wolcott (8-10) is the No. 8.
The NVL tournament begins Saturday at Holy Cross with quarerfinal round games.
In the first game at 11 a.m., No. 3 Sacred Heart plays No. 6 Naugatuck. At 12:45 p.m., No. 2 Holy Cross faces No. 7 Woodland.
The 2:30 p.m. game features No. 4 Seymour against No. 5 Ansonia in what will be the third matchup between the two teams this season. In the final game of the day at 4:15 p.m., No. 1 St. Paul takes on No. 8 Wolcott.
