Maggie Lee led all scorers with 12 points as the Pomperaug High girls basketball team crushed Danbury, 46-31, on Wednesday in the Sandy Hook Tip Off tournament in Trumbull.
Cara McGettigan added 11 points and Jada Stietzel had 10 for Pomperaug (2-0).
Westover 54, Gunnery 44: Anna Cruz scored a game-high 23 points for Westover. Kayla Surajnoth added 11 and Katie Protzmann 10.
Gilbert 51, Achievement First 3: Jill Wexler scored a game-high 14 points, including a pair of 3-pointers for the Yellowjackets (2-0) in Hartford.
Bethel 61, WCA 26: Diane Samaroo scored 11 points to lead the Spartans (0-2).
