- Since 2008, the first season that the NVL title was determined through a postseason tournament, either Holy Cross or Torrington has played in every final, and five times they have met in the championship game.

- Cross and the Raiders have played in the semifinal twice before, in 2013, won by the Raiders (40-34), and 2014, won by Cross (50-41).
